Jay Noble
After two years as a musician with the 15th Air Force band, Jay moved into broadcasting while in the Air Force and spent six years overseas with the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service as a ‘combat rock jock’ in such vacation spots at Thailand, Germany and the Azores.
Jay has been in radio and syndication for over 30-years. When asked where he’s worked, he says ‘put up a map and throw a dart.’ Jay has worked in Alaska, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Virginia… where did I put that U-Haul stock portfolio? Nationally Jay was known as “Major Danger” on Satellite Music Network’s infamous “Z Rock” format, and he was “Johnny Daniels” on ABC Radio Networks “Pure Gold” and “Oldies Radio” formats. His wife Cecelia says ‘if I knew then when I know now, we would have bought a Winnebago and painted it in gypsy colors.’
Over the years Jay has programmed AC, AOR, Classic Rock, Country, Progressive Jazz and Heavy Metal formats… nothing like those Manilow-Merle Haggard-Metallica-Miles Davis segues to keep you on your toes.
Jay’s been fortunate to work for such great companies as Bonneville, Drake-Chenault/Jones, Satellite Music Network, ABC/Disney, Westwood One, Unistar Radio Networks, TM Programming and now TM Century.
